Silent Hill 2 Remake's Xbox port release date leaked by Microsoft itself, and its imminent launch might be good news for the game's rumored Born From a Wish DLC

Silent Hill 2 Remake Xbox Series X|S Release Leaked, But DLC Remains Unconfirmed

Microsoft has seemingly revealed the Xbox Series X|S release date for the acclaimed Silent Hill 2 Remake, exciting fans eager to play the horror classic on the platform. A now-deleted Xbox Store listing indicated that the Xbox version is set to launch on November 21, 2025, just a few weeks away, marking the end of a year of PS5 and PC exclusivity (TrueAchievements).

Alongside the standard edition, the listing also showcased a Deluxe Edition, which includes a digital artbook and soundtrack, plus a Pyramid Head pizza box cosmetic, all releasing on the same date. Another bundle featuring this year’s Silent Hill f was also teased, though details remain limited.

However, the listing offered no information regarding the long-rumored Born From a Wish DLC. Historically, the original Xbox port of Silent Hill 2 included a bonus scenario called Born From a Wish to compensate for the delayed release after the PS2 version. Fans speculated that Bloober Team might replicate this approach for the remake. Lead writer Grzegorz Like responded humorously to these rumors, asking, "Born from a what?" adding to the uncertainty.

Despite the lack of confirmation for new DLC, Bloober Team has hinted that its work in the Silent Hill universe is far from finished, recently announcing plans to turn its focus toward a remake of the original Silent Hill.
