Rockstar Clarifies GTA 6 PlayStation Store Updates: GTA+ Membership, Not New Trailer

After days of fan speculation, Rockstar has clarified that recent changes to the GTA 6 PlayStation Store page were related to its GTA+ subscription service, not a new game trailer.

Two days ago, observant fans noticed that the GTA 6 store page on PlayStation consoles included information about GTA+, Rockstar’s membership service that provides access to a selection of its titles. Some fans, anticipating a new trailer, misinterpreted the update as a reveal for upcoming GTA 6 content.

Rockstar appears to have used this update to subtly announce that GTA+ membership now includes access to GTA Online. While the feature currently covers the existing game, it could theoretically expand to GTA 6 Online in the future, a move that fans and analysts alike consider a potential revenue boon.

Gaming news account GameRoll highlighted the potential impact on Twitter: “I TOTALLY think we could see GTA 6 Online do the same thing… including GTA 6 Online with a membership would basically just be printing money.”

Previously, PlayStation players had to rely on subscriptions such as PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass to access GTA Online. The GTA+ update simplifies access and may signal Rockstar’s strategy for integrating GTA 6 Online into its membership ecosystem once the game launches.

The temporary PlayStation Store ad has since been removed, but the GTA+ change confirms Rockstar’s ongoing efforts to enhance its subscription offerings.
