Frustrated Helldivers 2 Players Discover Secret 'Undocumented' Enemy Buffs

Players of Helldivers 2 are expressing frustration over a lack of transparency following a recent update that introduced undocumented buffs to enemies, raising concerns about game balance.

Helldivers 2's devs explain why the PC file size is so large

Since the launch of Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series X, the game initially enjoyed positive reception. However, in recent months, technical issues and bugs—exacerbated by the Into the Unjust update—have led to growing player dissatisfaction. Arrowhead Game Studios continues to work on fixes and performance improvements, but some of these changes may have inadvertently created new challenges for players.

Following Update 4.1.0, a detailed thread by user perakisg highlighted that not all changes were included in the official patch notes. Notably, the Berserker now has larger body parts that are more resistant to damage, and the Hive Guard has become both more durable and less vulnerable to fire. While some players appreciated other undocumented improvements, the majority criticized the lack of communication from the developers.

Additionally, Glitch Unlimited noted that weapons also received unlisted adjustments during the Helldivers 2 Liberty Day event. Both the P-4 Senator pistol and StA-52 assault rifle received damage boosts. The community has mixed feelings about the P-4 Senator buff, as its increased drag reduces reliability at mid-to-long range, making it more suitable for close-quarters combat.

These revelations have intensified calls from the community for clearer communication regarding patch notes and game changes, emphasizing the importance of transparency in maintaining player trust.
